MOSAIC United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Mosaic United Methodist Women are ladies of the church who have a desire for mission outreach to help women, youth and children.

We have our General Membership and most are also members of 3 Circles:

Cathern Circle – Carol Williams, Chair

Craft Circle – Cheryl Downs, Chair

Deborah Circle – Pam Muir, Chair

Our General Meeting meets at 10 am at the church on the first Saturday of February, April, June, August, and October.  In December we go out for a luncheon.

In the Kentucky Conference UMW Heartland District, we participate in the Reading Program, Candle Burning, Memorial Service, Mission Today and 6 Star Giving.

In 2015, Mosaic UMW earned the 6 Star Giving Unit Status and was the only unit to be named The Mission Today - 10,000 Door Unit!

Mission Today Units have made and met their pledge to Mission; plus completed at least one “starred” item from each category of Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors; and any other four items.

10,000 Doors Units receive special recognition since they have made and met their pledge to Mission; plus completed at least four of the criteria in each category of Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors, including at least one “starred” item in each category.

Six Star Units have made and met their Pledge to Mission, contributed to a Special Mission Recognition, Gift to Mission, Gift in Memory, to the World Thank Offering, and have also contributed either to Candle Burning or Penny and A Prayer.
